About
What We Do
Discover STEAM is a full service STEM / STEAM education company, empowering education stake holders to create vibrant learning environments for all preK to 12th grade students, without discrimination.
We provide educational programs directly to the public and through partnerships with schools, libraries, nature centers and homeschool cohorts.

Discover STEAM provides to schools and school systems professional development, curriculum, and consultation services. Our staff can also serve as part-time STEM teachers or in the context of our Scientist in Residence Program (which takes place on site at your school).

Our Sustainable STEM Initiative launched in the Spring of 2025. This program is designed specifically to remove existing barriers in STEM Education. Our pilot program is specific to Robots and Coding. We provided Professional Development and Equipment Loaning (or purchase) to Media Specialists and STEM Focus teachers at 7 title one school in MCPS. In just four months we reached 1,400 students. The projected reach from this same cohort next year is 3,000 students.

Our Education Services Directly to Students
Our STEAM Education programs are designed to inspire students to be creative and to think critically about the world around them. We believe that innovation happens when we combine science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Our experiential learning approach allows students to explore these topics in a hands-on way, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of both simple and complex concepts.​​
